The Best Drift Cars in the Forza Motorsport 4 Car List

When you’re looking for a great drift car in Forza Motorsport 4 it’s extremely important to remember that the best drift cars are front engine and rear wheel drive. While it is possible to set up an all-wheel-drive car to drift, I don’t recommend attempting it if you’re new to drifting. If you want to be able to improve your drifting skills in Forza Motorsport 4, it’s important to know what car to use. One of the most important things for new drifters to remember is that the best cars for drifting are front engine, rear wheel drive cars that start out as a D, C or B class. The reason why these cars are the best is because they allow for a lot of upgrading and modifying.

If you try to use a car that starts out as an S class for drifting, you will notice that you will have to rely a lot more on tuning rather than having the flexibility of being able to apply lots of upgrades.

Some of the cars I recommend for anyone who’s new to drifting are the Nissan Silvia S13, S14 and S15, the Toyota Supra and Toyota AE86 (or Hachi Roku) (you can view detailed stats for these cars on the Forza Motorsport 4 Car List).

Before you start applying power upgrades, I highly recommend that you install race brakes, race springs and race weight reduction. Also, it’s helpful to have a race clutch, race transmission, race driveline. However, the most important thing to install on any drift car is a race differential. A race differential allows for precise tuning which is extremely important.

When you start applying power upgrades, I recommend keeping your car between 600 and 650 horsepower. Once you get used to drifting at that level of horsepower, you should experiment with lower amounts and higher amounts to see what works for your personal style of drifting.

Once you’ve performed all of the upgrades mentioned above, you’re ready to move on to the tuning aspect of building a drift car.
