Forza Motorsport 4 Car List Porsche Pack Review Part 1 Porsche 914
The Porsche 914 is definitely one of the best F class cars I’ve ever driven in Forza 4. The steering is very well done, the car feels balanced and when you drive it you can’t help but feel like it’s a totally complete package.
The only thing that the 914 falls short of is speed. Whenever I drive it I always feel like I’m not getting the maximum potential that the car has to offer. But maybe I’m nitpicking to much.
Driving it around the Top Gear Test Track (as shown in the video above) was a lot of fun really allowed me to explore all of the different aspects of the car’s performance. The reason why I felt it fell short in the area of top speed is because I wasn’t able to hit 100 on the back straight. The fastest I was able to go was 99.
But what I found out later is that the 914 is an absolute blast to drive on Fujimi Kaido. On Fujimi Kaido straight line speed is not a requirement. If you’ve played Forza 4, you’ll know that the key to doing well on Fujimi kaido is to have a good handling car. And the 914 is just that.
It really allows you to play with it and throw it into corners at very high speed. The chassis handles cornering so well that I would go so far as to say that it corners better than some C, B and even A class cars on the Forza Motorsport 4 Car List!
When I saw the car for the first time I immediately thought “oh no, I’m going to have to drive a slow F class car again”. But you can imagine my surprise when I started throwing it around the Top Gear test track. However, like I said before, the most fun place to drive the 914 is definitely on Fujimi Kaido!
I give the Porsche 914 a 7/10
