GTA 5 Release Date

While the GTA 5 release date is being kept under lock and key, we can certainly expect a late 2012 to early 2013 release. However, we think that an early 2013 release is more accurate. See if you can find any clues we missed in the screenshots and videos below.

Forza Motorsport 4 2013 SRT Viper GTS Free DLC Review

First of all, I must say that I’m extremely grateful to Turn10 not only for including the new SRT Viper in Forza 4, but for making it free! These days free DLC seems to be becoming quite scarce. However, Turn10 studios (the makers of Forza Motorsport 4) believe otherwise.

The 2013 SRT Viper GTS is one of the year’s most anticipated supercars. It made its debut at NYIAS (New York International Auto Show) and since then has taken over the automotive space of the internet.

In Forza 4, the 2013 SRT Viper maintains the character of previous models. However, being slightly more powerful, it’s a bit more of a drift car.

What I really like about the new Viper is its ability to play different roles. It can be a tire smoking, sideways lunatic’s drift car or a pinpoint accurate circuit racer. Whichever route you choose to go, you’ll definitely have a good time with it.

The 2013 SRT Viper really starts to get interesting when you start tuning it up. With multiple forced induction setups available there’s something to suit every tuner’s taste. I personally prefer to twin turbo charge mine. In fact, a twin turbo 2013 Viper can put out up to 1,100 horsepower!

Need for Speed Live Action Movie Confirmed!

The gaming scene has been hearing about the idea of a Need for Speed movie for years. But many of us never expected EA to actually confirm it. But that’s exactly what they’ve done! And while many people are already predicting that it’s going to be a poorly done, Fast and Furious rip off, I’m not so sure. If we look at it in more detail, we can clearly see that there’s a lot of potential here.

Over the years the NFS games have been leaning more and more towards a movie style format. It started with NFS Underground and has been going strong since. And while the live acting was pretty cheesy, I found it entertaining. I think the closest NFS game to a movie is NFS Most Wanted. It had by far the best story and acting in any Need for Speed game.

Another reason why I think this movie has so much potential is because the director of the realistic war film, Act of Valor will be directing it.

EA reached out to Warner Bros. Sony and Paramount Pictures to do the movie. But the idea ended up getting picked up by Dreamworks Studios. What this means for the movie we don’t know yet. What we do know though is that it’s on schedule for a 2014 release!

Although official information has not yet been released on the film’s plot, I think it’ll probably be something like this – A street racer, on the run from the cops with some girls thrown in the mix. However, it would be nice if they added a few other things because that’s pretty much how NFS games have been for the past 6 years or so.

Personally I’m really hoping that the movie is mainly based around racing, not gun battles. Sure, a few here and there are fine but if it’s going to be a “Need for Speed” movie, I want the emphasis to be on racing.

Where in the World is GTA 5?

I’m sure many of you remember the trailer Rockstar Games released back in November 2011 for Grand Theft Auto 5. And I don’t know about you but I was really hoping to see some gameplay or at least a new trailer at this year’s E3.

It’s been 4 years since the release of Grand Theft Auto 4, one of our favorite games of this generation. However, since GTA 5 wasn’t shown at E3 this year, we wonder if we won’t see a new GTA until 2013.

If you look at the trailer, it’s clear that GTA 5 is going to be the largest scale GTA game ever made. A larger game world, more cars, trucks, planes and guns are all things we’re hoping for in GTA 5.

Something that I personally want to see more than almost anything else though is seemless online/offline play. I think if Rockstar applied the concepts used in Burnout Paradise for drop-in/drop-out online gameplay, it would hugely improve the game. GTA 4’s system was slow and clunky

Another thing that we really want to see in GTA 5 is car customization. And we don’t mean simply re-spraying your car. Aftermarket wheels, wraps, body kits and parts and maybe even interior customization. And maybe we’re being a bit picky but what about being able to customize your own planes and helicopters as well? That would be epic!

A feature that I missed in GTA 4 was the ability to ride a skateboard or BMX bike. I think they should be brought back in GTA 5 because (if you think about it for a second) doing random things on skateboards online would be huge fun!

Just think of the possibilities, a skateboard deathmatch mode where players try to shoot each other while skating around. And skateboard races, the list goes on, and on and on!

Forza Horizon Getting Dynamic Fuel and Houses?

Ever since it was announced that Forza Horizon was going to be an open world game, gamers have been speculating about the inclusion of a dynamic fuel system. Some think including this in the game is a great idea. However, I’m not so sure…

One of the main reasons why I don’t think it would be a good idea is because the player (if not careful) could wind up running out of fuel in the middle of nowhere. Sure, it would be realistic. But it wouldn’t be fun. And even though racing sim fans like me would be able to do just fine with the system, I’m not sure newcomers would enjoy it.

Even though it’s only speculation, there are some clues that lead me to believe that Forza Horizon will have dynamic fuel. First of all, if you’ve seen any of the gameplay videos from E3, you’ll notice that there are multiple gas stations around the game world. Weather they’re there for the purpose of refueling or simply cosmetic remains to be seen.

One of the things I really enjoyed about Test Drive Unlimited and TDU2 was the ability to buy houses. I loved walking into my garage and simply getting into whatever car I wanted. That’s why I would love to see the inclusion of houses in Forza Horizon. However, I feel Playground and T10 could take houses to a whole new level.

For example, in TDU and TDU2 you only had the option of buying prebuilt houses in predetermined locations. Forza Horizon could take it a step further by giving players the option to decide exactly how they wanted their house (or houses) to look.

But after your house was built you would still have the option of changing it or making it bigger if you wanted. Also, you would be able to add things to the surrounding property, external garages for example.

The Fattest Video Game Characters of All Time!

The Boomer from Left 4 Dead

Boomers are fat, annoying zombies that make it a habit to get near you and then explode! However, they don’t just explode. They shoot zombie puke at you before exploding! And that has to be one of the nastiest things to ever happen in a video game.

Rufus from Street Fighter 4

I don’t know about you but I’m extremely surprised that Rufus can even move considering his size. He’s by far the fattest character to ever appear in a Street Fighter game. In fact, when I first saw Rufus, I wondered if Capcom had run out of ideas for new characters! But, all jokes aside, Rufus turned out to be a funny and original addition to the series.

Wario from the Super Mario series

Wario is the perfect, cartoon villain. He’s sort, has a large head, a huge nose, a pointy moustache and he’s quite fat. Wario’s personality involves nothing more than constantly being grumpy. And he has farts that can kill.

Snorlax from Pokemon

I would imagine that if you lived like Snorlax did, you’d be fat pretty fat to. After all, all Snorlax does is snore, eat and relax! Weighing in at over 2,000 pounds Snorlax is one of the heaviest Pokemons of all time. I still can’t figure out how it can fit into a poke ball.

Snorlax has somehow transported his immense self into games outside of the Pokemon universe, one of the most notable being Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Bowser from the Super Mario Series

One thing I’ve noticed from playing the Mario games over the years is that Bowser seems to get fatter and fatter every time. Now, I’m sure some of his mass is muscle, but how much of it I’m not sure.

You see, Bowser spends most of his time hidden from view in secret chambers of his castle. And I have a suspicion that he’s down there stuffing himself with every last sweet he can find.

King De De De from the Kirby Series

Much like Bowser, King De De De is mischievous, short tempered and quite obese. He carries around a huge mallet that he uses to smash anyone that gets in his way.

The reason for his obesity is his habit of eating extremely large amounts of food at once. In fact, he once stole all of Dreamland’s food supplies in order to have a midnight feast!
